ASCENT IS THE MEN’S MINISTRY OF HIGH POINTE CHURCH. THE MINISTRY HAS 3 MAIN OBJECTIVES:

Spiritual Growth

Men are the God-ordained spiritual leaders of their families. 1 Timothy 3, Ephesian 5:21-24, Deuteronomy 6:6-7and 1 Corinthians 11:3. Yet, how can we lead spiritually without a strong biblical foundation? The study of God’s word, the Bible, is the answer.

Service 

Service within the church. Men play a vital role within the Church to look after church members, especially widows within the congregation.  Men are to work in the church to care for those with great need. Ephesians 4:11-16 talks to how we work and build up the body of Christ (which is the church) in love. James 1:27 and Acts 6:1-3 addresses the biblical mandate to care for widows in need.

Fellowship

Fellowship, prayer, and accountability. These three go hand-in-hand as one man is meant to sharpen another just as iron sharpens iron. Proverbs 27:17
